No need for counting mouton…

There are few things more fundamental than the bed. Lets face it, its true. We work hard to give guests an amazing experience We want people to feel that they’ve had at least as good a night sleep as they have at home, preferrably much better! Its such an individual thing we realise it may not be trhe case every single time, but its our aim. We’ve two beautiful vintage beds (140cmx190cm), after rigorous personal testing we’ve found our favourite memory foam matresses which countour to you just a little to give you the most comfortable night possible, and we’ve high q.hts but cool and able to breathe on the warmest summer evening

Pamper and luxuriate…

Sustainability is an important part of our ethos and is something we will bew working hard to improve on. Providing our guests natural, organic and sustainable options in both the bathroom and kitchen are important. Our toiletries are all EcoCert certified and we aim to supply them all in refillable glass to minimise our use of single use plastic

The Kitchen

Our hotel is inspired by the global mid-century modern design movement, and in turn, our on-site restaurant and café, Continental, is influenced by cuisines around the world. Famous for her fusion dishes, head chef Layla Wu creates seasonal menus that still have a little bit of English flair. That’s right, you can still get your fish and chips, but don’t be surprised to taste a little tarragon.

Your furry friends

As animal lovers ourselves we know how important the ability to take our big boy (pictured) on holiday with us can be. Even the nicest kennels or doggysitter is not a patch on being able to bring our entire family whether they have four legs or two which is why we are completely welcoming to pets. Dogs, cats, or other, we wont rule out anyone, we just ask that you let us know when you book so we’re clued in and can ask any questions we have, or answer any questions you may have, first. We generally specify no more than 2 pets, primarily because the Petite Maison is, well, a Petite Maison, but whatever the situation let us know and we’ll do what we can! We have a great vet 15 minutes drive away who speaks English and is very clued up on animals crossing borders who we are happy to make appointments for on your behalf if you need that pill taken or that paperwork stamped before you return home. The area is a goldmine for walks so your furry friend will enjoy their time here as much as you do!
